Managing Your Website

The web is an ever-changing environment. New competitors for your Google ranking appear. Website technology changes. Security issues arise. For these reasons alone, website management is vital. Here is an outline of the actions applied to your site.

Daily Each morning I log in to my WordPress management system to check for updates to the various elements of the websites under management. Any updates are checked and applied.

Weekly I check the Search Rankings system to check for any significant changes in keyword rankings. If there are any, I will investigate and schedule a detailed review and think about content changes which may be needed.

Monthly I divide the month into 20 working days and schedule a different Client website to each day. Typically I will carry out any maintenance tasks I have scheduled for each site on the allotted day.

Ongoing There are always new tools and techniques to know about and evaluate. Google frequently updates its search engine rules. As I identify changes which will develop any of my websites, I schedule the work.

What Happens after Launch?

Once your website has been built, signed-off and launched, the ongoing website management and search engine optimisation begin. During the building stage, the pages will have been optimised for search.

Depending on how competitive your business sector is on the search engines, it will take somewhere between two and twelve weeks for your search terms to show on the front page of Google.

Using various tools, including Google Analytics and a paid for web ranking service the content to your pages is tweaked to ensure the best rankings for the chosen search terms

Service Quality

Embracing the concepts of Total Quality, this service is built on "going the extra mile" and Continuous Improvement. My business model includes limiting the number of Client to a maximum of 20. I will also only work on one new project in any four week period. The combination of these elements ensures that each new Client's website has my undivided attention for the build and initial search engine optimisation. The 20 Client limit ensures that I have more than enough time to work on the maintenance and development of every website every month. Going the extra mile / Continuous Improvement means that if I find a better way of doing something on a website, I implement that, without charge.

On contacting John I was soon meeting up at his studio to discuss ideas and website format. His expertise was soon apparent, as he advised on the best ways to display the website online and more importantly, enable potential clients to find my business online. Up to the minute software updates, site optimisation, help and support from John is ongoing in a professional manner. I now link my Mystove website built by John, with my Checkatrade page, a winning combination that attracts many new sales! Excellent..well recommended!!
